Since 1983, Ingomar has focused every resource on growing, processing, and packaging the most premium tomato paste and diced tomatoes in the world — owned, from the very first season, by the farmers who grow the crop.

Ingomar Packing Company was established in 1983 as the first strictly industrial processor of tomatoes in California — and one of the first primarily grower-owned aseptic tomato paste suppliers in the United States. We operate two processing facilities in Los Banos, at the heart of the state's tomato country.
Our model is simple and rare: the growers who cultivate the majority of the tomatoes we process are the same people who own the company. That direct line of accountability, from the seed in the field to the drum on the dock, is what lets us hold a standard others can't.
A group of California tomato farmers establish Ingomar as the first strictly industrial tomato processor in the state — grower-owned from the very first season.
Ingomar adds its second Los Banos processing plant, expanding capacity for premium paste and diced tomatoes.
Kagome, one of the world's leading tomato companies, begins sourcing from Ingomar — the start of a long-term relationship.
Ingomar formalizes its environmental program — solar, water reclamation, drip irrigation, and waste diversion become part of how the company runs.
Kagome acquires a 20% equity position, deepening a partnership that spans the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, and Australia.
Kagome moves to majority ownership while the founding grower families remain major shareholders — Ingomar processes roughly 1.55 million metric tons a year, the 4th-largest tomato processor worldwide and 2nd-largest in the United States.

Ingomar was built on the founding families who are, first and foremost, processing-tomato farmers. They remain major shareholders to this day, and they still personally oversee the cultivation of the majority of the tomatoes we process.
That gives us a stable, vertically integrated supply and a level of quality control that starts long before the fruit reaches the line — because for our owners, every load carries their own name.
A custom-pack program built around your specs — we make the product your line needs, not what's on a shelf.
Solar power, water reclamation, and zero tomato waste to landfill since 2013 — stewardship built into operations.
Four decades refining industrial tomato processing, led by the same families since 1983.
The growers own the company, so quality is personal — a matter of pride, not policy.
Ingomar is part of the global group of Kagome companies — a partnership that carries our California-grown paste and diced tomatoes into markets around the world, and holds us to shared standards for human rights, ethical sourcing, business ethics, and anti-bribery.
